If they seemed like an otherwise normal person would you let them babysit your kids?

I'd personally be worried about them teaching my kid hate speech

We talking a supporter or a voter?

I know people who voted Trump, but they don't display it, they are very humble about their mistake, and at this point basically couldn't tell you why they did it.

Then there's supporters. MAGA hats, can't go one conversation without saying something vaguely racist, swear that he's doing a good job but also can't tell you why.

Then that'll be a hard no from me lol.

I really do feel bad for Trump voters who regret it, cuz they were just a few months from realizing what a garbage choice he was.
Now they usually get lumped in with the MAGA crowd and I'm sure that hurts.

I doubt I'd ever ask a potential babysitter who the hell they voted for in whatever elections. I'd mostly care about their caretaking experience, first aid/CPR training, and references.

There was a ton of garbage news (the biggest effect from russia of all). I don't blame people who got confused by the idiocy either. I think people who support him just want the world to burn in general... or are tricked by republican talking points by only viewing republican media.

I'd internally question why they'd wear a hat indoors during an interview, haha. Assuming I still don't know their qualifications, the person likely wouldn't be my first choice hire.

Well, yeah, 'cause grandparents.

It's sad, really. My Jewish MIL voted for Trump because she hates Muslims. (She didn't say that, of course, but she's complained for years about Muslim indoctrination in the schools.) I will never celebrate Passover with her again because I might choke on the hypocrisy.

You should call her an anti-semite since many muslims are also semites. It will be fun. And you will probably never be asked to celebrate passover again ;)

Trump supporters that regret their decision? If "insert reason" wasn't enough before the election, then what was it after the election?

He's asking why they are ashamed now and weren't before. His point is that Trump has been pretty obviously a terrible person to put in the president's office since day 1, so a person's view of him really shouldn't change.

his supporters aren't necessarily the same thing as his voters. the majority just vote republican everytime, i would say his actual supporters are a smaller minority

Moreover id trust my mom to babysit my kid if i had one and she voted for trump, so...

If they're otherwise qualified to do so then sure. Political views would be pretty far down on my list of concerns about someone who's going to watch my kids.

This.

Aren't babysitters typically most commonly from conservative families where the encouragement of personal responsibility and hard work lead to a natural progression of getting money as early in life as possible? At least all ours are. Key tip for marriage - love your children and spend time with them often, but go on a date at least one evening a week!

Hey, "personal responsibility," when are you gonna own up to your corrupt fraud of a president and the party that colluded with a foreign power to help cheat him in?
