The wall was hands down his dumbest idea. I really wish the entire thing would be be scrapped.
I mean, it's 2017 now. We should have a full-time legion of aerial drones monitoring the border. The same effect of stopping illegal Mexicans can be accomplished much more cheaply.

The wall was hands down his dumbest idea. I really wish the entire thing would be be scrapped. It's cheaper to just supply block the border and put a bunch of Marines there, though obviously you'd need detectors. We'd be screwed if they have Guardians or Brood Lords though.

The wall is a dumb idea so instead he makes a fence just like Bush and Obama did which is also a dumb idea but much much less dumb. His supporters eat it up because he called it a wall. And sensible people are relieved Hes been playing you like a fiddle for 3 years now

If if came down to Trump vs Sanders last year I would have been split but seeing comments like this is what would cause me to have voted Trump over him. You can say that about any group of voters but the one's who go out to vote are the one's who decide which direction the country would be heading for the next 4+ years. In the end, independent votes decided the election by voting for Trump. And yes, both sides have dumb people attacking others but the liberal side has an extra splash of holier than thou attitude. This attitude is what caused a lot of independent voters like myself to distance myself from their candidate if they were split on who to vote for.

The whole scenario revolved around being split between two candidates. If two candidates were equal in their respective ways then yes, comments like this would and did affect elections. I made an excel sheet with all the major stances on topics for each candidate and gave points based on which one I agree with more. It was pretty much a dead tie. That is a pretty objective way to determine who to vote for so don't try to attack my "education".

I've said it from the beginning, anyone who thinks the wall is going to actually be built is a moron. It was never going to happen. And then he came out and said Mexico was gonna pay for it. I laughed my ass off because that was FOR SURE not going to happen. But seeing people on both sides react to it was priceless. You had some on the left acting like the world was crashing down then you saw some on the right acting like a Utopia was coming.
Like seriously, did anyone really truly think some kind of Great Wall of China thing was going to be erected in a few years? And we were going to get another country to pay for it? This is just the first of many backtracks on this thing. The final product of a "wall" might be some little fence on some random part of the border that he'll take a picture in front of to act like he's done something. It was never going to happen.
