So is this really the answer the left has come up with to the question of "how do we keep losing?" Not self-reflection, not careful consideration of how they might reach out to the disenfranchised, but "everyone that voted for trump is a cultist?"
Dems are 0 for 4 in critical special elections. Keep that attitude up and you're looking at a republican supermajority in both houses in 2018, and a second Trump win in 2020.

No I'm just asking how he's going to be able to answer all the questions he won't now. He's insulated himself behind walls and twitter. If he wants re-election, he will have to face the 2020 campaign, with lots of press and lots of debate. Every last question he didn't answer now and until that time will come right back up again, and in that environment, I don't see how he'd be able to avoid them.

I thought for sure liberals would tone down their "fuck white people" rhetoric after they lost the presidency, the Senate, the House, the Supreme Court nomination, and all four special elections. But, no, they doubled down. Oh well, I'm not complaining. I hope they continue down that path, and I hope Nanci Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and Elijah Cummings continue to be the mouthpiece for the Democratic agenda.

Keep that attitude up and you're looking at a republican supermajority in both houses in 2018, and a second Trump win in 2020. there's pretty much zero statistical evidence that a republican senate supermajority is possible the liberal reaction is mostly a recognition that trump voters are never going to change their minds or listen to policy experts, scientists, or anyone who disagrees with them, and instead are best dealt with by being outnumbered at the polls. so long as they don't tack to the center and don't run someone who makes their base not show up, they'll do fine. gerrymandered districts will kill their chances at retaking the house, though.
