Charles Krauthammer today said that Trumpcare was a disaster in part because of weak leadership from Trump. He rightly pointed out the dozens of press conferences Obama did to make the case directly to the American people that Obamacare was a good thing. He then asked why you didn't see any of that from Trump. The answer, of course, is that Trump is a terrible president whose idea of leadership is shit posting on Twitter.

I am a Trump supporter but my support for him was not based on repealing Obamacare. At this point, ACA is a reality. Taking it away from the public would be a political disaster for Republicans for at least a decade. I voted for him on issues of national security, immigration, judicial nominations, gun rights, pulling out of Paris, etc.

They should have drafted a Repeal bill and a Replace bill and voted on them concurrently.
Then when Repeal fails they can say "oh well blame it on the Democrats."
