Eladio Sanchez is unimpressed by the eight border wall prototypes looming over his house in Tijuana, Mexico, almost within spitting distance of where US President Donald Trump will visit Tuesday. Sounds like a pretty poor design.

We could have guards for the wall too. In certain cases, if someone is convicted of a crime, instead of going to jail they could be given the choice to go to the wall. It would reduce prison crowding and save money.
There's no business to be taxed.

Well if I were one of them I'd just use a plane to fly over the wall.
Or maybe I'd get a temporary work permit with a "promise" to a path to citizenship that neither my employer nor the government can back up. That'd get me in there. That gets 70% of illegal immigrants in.

It's kind of disgusting that you can have a guy like that openly proclaiming to news agencies that he's repeatedly snuck over the border and will again and nobody bats an eye. It kind of proves Trump right in that we need better border security.

Anyone else remember Penn and Teller's Bullshit?
They had an episode once where they pointed out how pointless George Bush's boarder wall was by hiring Mexican illegal immigrants to build an identical chunk of the wall, then split them into 3 teams, one going over, one going through and one going under to see who would be quicker. All 3 teams got past the wall with incredible ease. Who would have thought a decade later it would literally be more relevant.

The point of the wall is to make it harder for them to climb over. Will some climb over? Yes but it's going to take a lot longer each time they try. By the time they get over, the border patrol will be right there waiting and send them back to the other side.
The current wall is too easy to climb over and border patrol is stretched thin. The new wall will make it a lot easy on the guys guarding the border. You gotta love the protests...from Mexico:
